Anayón Selección is D.O. Cariñena, the only region in the world that gives its name to a grape variety, Cariñena, due to its origin. The same name Cariñena was used to distinguish the Denomination of Origin in 1932, along with others, the oldest officially recognized in Spain. Limited production. Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: Cariñena, Merlot, Syrah and Tempranillo
Anayón Selección produced by the Grandes Vinos y Viñedos winery from a blend of Tempranillo, Cariñena, Merlot and Syrah. The vineyards are located about 600-700 meters in the Sierra de Algairén, within the Cariñena DO. The vines, aged between 30 and 50 years, are planted on sandy loam and very stony soils. Once arrived at the winery, the grapes are vinified separately according to the variety. The aging of the Anayón Selección 2022 red wine lasted for 10 months in Navarrese, French and American oak barrels. Once the aging is completed, the final blend of this vegan wine is made.
TASTING
View:
Deep ruby color with a violet rim.
Nose:
Intense and seductive perfume of black cherries, blackberries, vanilla and chestnuts.
Mouth:
It is a warm wine with soft, ripe tannins with mouthfeels of black cherries, cedar and tobacco leaves.
Recommended temperature: 16ºC.
