PREPARATION
DYC is a double distilled whiskey, aged a minimum of 3 years in American oak barrels. The history of DYC whiskey begins in 1957 when Nicomedes García discovered the traditional methods of whiskey production on his numerous trips to Scottish lands with the idea of founding a whiskey distillery in Spain. And Segovia, his region of birth, became the ideal place to establish the distillery of the first Spanish whiskey. The Molino del Arco, located in Palazuelos de Eresma, was the place chosen to do it. The climate of the region, similar to that of Scotland, together with the quality of the cereals from Castilla y León, the proximity of the river and the excellent purity of its waters were the reasons for choosing a historic building from the 15th century. Today, this brand that made whiskey known in Spain 6 decades ago continues to be the leading brand in this country today.
TASTING
View: Straw, golden color.
Nose: Round, complete aroma, with dominant styles. Clean, with touches of fruit and toasted wood.
Mouth: Optimal balance of flavors that highlight its robustness. Peat, spices, soft and creamy on the palate. Smokey and spicy finish.
