Description
PREPARATION
Johnnie Walker Red Label is made from cereals rich in starch, which need to be converted into soluble sugar in order to make alcohol. Subsequently, light whiskeys from the Scottish east coast and smoky whiskeys from the west coast are combined, giving it an extraordinary depth of flavour. The product of the distillation process is transferred to specially treated oak barrels to mature for a minimum of three years before it can be legally called a "Scotch Whiskey." Its story begins in 1909, when 'Special Old Highland Whiskey' was renamed Johnnie Walker Red Label and thus, a legend was born. Imbued from the beginning with a pioneering spirit, he traveled "where any ship could go." With its intense flavor and versatile character, it was admired in society and made friends all over the world.
TASTING
View: Golden amber color.
Nose: Aromas of heather roots and cut herbs accompanied by a touch of fresh fruits and honey.
Mouth: Intense and with character, it stands out for its spicy notes that burst with vibrant and smoky flavors. It explodes on the palate with the freshness of the foam of a wave, followed by a burst of aromatic spices (cinnamon and pepper), whose effervescence settles in the center of the tongue. On the palate, you feel a fruity sweetness, like fresh apples or pear and notes of vanilla and then, with the unique signature of Johnnie Walker, give rise to a persistent and smoky finish.
