In Utiel-Requena the sounds of the silk looms and the aroma of the vine from its vineyards still resonate: from that tradition the wine La Casa de La Seda is born. An ancestral production and the old strains of the Bobal variety are the ingredients of this wine of exceptional character and flavor. La Casa de La Seda is a red wine, a very good accompaniment to red meats, game, sausages and cured cheeses. Prizes:

Description
PREPARATION
La Casa De La Seda has viticulture and production with the least intervention, trying to reflect the full potential of the terroir. Fermentation at 25ºC with the yeast from the surface of the grain (skins) with gentle pumping over. After 15 days of maceration, pressing was carried out. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and subsequent racking with its lees: 80% of the wine into a 5,000-liter French oak foudre, 10% in concrete eggs and the remaining 10% into a clay jar, for aging for 6 months before bottling. Its vineyard at Finca El Ardal (Requena) has old vines that are more than 90 years old and has an average production of 1.5 kilos per vine. Continental climate with Mediterranean influences. Large variations in day and night temperatures. Average annual temperature: 13oC. Limestone-clay soils. Wine suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
TASTING
View: Intense purple red typical of the Bobal variety.
Nose: Fruity aromas predominate, reminiscent of berries, mixed with aromatic herbs, violets, and spices such as saffron.
Mouth:
In the foreground, ripe fruit with a sweet touch (currant jam) is displayed. With good acidity and freshness, the wine is persistent, with silky tannins and a mineral background. Consumption temperature: 16º-18º
