L'Ermita 2017 is the star of the Álvaro Palacios winery and one of the best-rated Spanish wines. It is made from the Garnacha Tinta and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties from old vines with very little production. It is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels. Prizes and scores:

Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 80% Garnacha, 18% Cariñena and 2% others.
To make the wine L'Ermita 2017 a manual and selective harvest was carried out according to different sectors of the estate. The age of its vines is 78 to 107 years old and the vineyard is registered in organic agriculture. 100% destemmed and gently crushed, with alcoholic fermentation in wooden vats with bazuqueos, using native yeasts. Maceration for approximately 59 days. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in wooden containers. Aging for 16 months in bocoi and foudre.
TASTING
View:
Garnet color with violet reflections.
Nose:
High presence of fruit, very complex, with mineral touches, fine toasted notes along with floral hints.
Mouth:
Broad and fleshy, it has very fine tannins that give it a lot of persistence and elegance. Recommended temperature: store at a maximum of 12ºC.
