Description
PREPARATION
Cachaça Sagatiba Velha is made 100% artisanal in small batches in the interior of Minas Gerais, its process has been perfected to create a unique liquid. Fresh sugar cane is ground in less than 24 hours after harvest and fermented with a single yeast, distilled in a traditional copper alembic, discarding the heads and tails, keeping only the “hearts” and aged for at least two years in intensely toasted American white oak barrels, ex-Bourbon, which allows the liquor to penetrate the wood, extracting more flavor, aroma and color.
Sagatiba's story is a story of passion, of going beyond the limits of the possible. With its creation in 2004, businessman Marcos de Moraes wanted to represent his passion for Brazil of yesterday and today, bringing the flavor of his country to the world with its national liquor, cachaça.
