Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Grenache.
To make the wine Obergo Antiqua Garnacha 2016, traditional winemaking is carried out with aging for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. The vines are old, vines that have resisted wind, sun and snow for more than 85 years. This legendary vineyard offers a Grenache with a deep, enigmatic, subtle and harmonious character. Bodegas Obergo works only with its own vineyards. They keep track and supervise each plot one by one. The winery's oldest vineyard was planted in the early 1930s. They produce with very low yields, so most of the wines are limited production. At Bodegas Obergo they take care of the vineyard's own ecosystem, using stainless steel tanks, clay amphorae and new barrels from prestigious cooperages to age exclusive wines in which the grapes and respect for the vineyard and its landscape take precedence.
