Séptima Obra Malbec 2020 is the wine line from Bodega Séptima that seeks to highlight the strain that gives them origin, trying to achieve its best version year after year. The family that makes this red wine seeks to value the strains that give it origin. To do this, the best ones from the Mendoza area are used, it is aged in quality barrels and an elegant oenology is followed. The result is a red Malbec that perfectly combines the aromas and flavors of ripe fruit with the toasted and creamy notes of wood. Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Malbec. The different lots selected from the different estates are harvested manually and vinified individually. Pre-fermentation cold maceration for 3 days. Fermentation conducted through the use of selected yeasts in some batches and in other cases with native yeasts. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and later matured in third and fourth use French and American oak barrels. The batches/components are matured in third and fourth use French and American oak barrels for 10 months. It completes its aging for 2 months in the bottle.
TASTING
View:
Deep red wine, with great aromatic complexity given by the different terroirs and times of maturity.
Nose:
Fresh fruits predominate, reminiscent of blackberries, cherries, plums and strawberries. After a few minutes in the glass, notes of tomato leaf appear.
Mouth:
In the mouth, its body, sweetness and silkiness are distinguished.
