Description

PREPARATION

Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca.

The Ports selected for the Real Companhia Velha Fundador Tawny wine blend are fermented in autovinificantes in contact with skins until they are interrupted by the addition of brandy. Next, the aging process takes place in oak vats for an average period of 5 years.
Port wine is, by definition, a fortified, fortified wine produced in the Douro region, the oldest demarcated wine region in the world. Made from traditional native varieties, its winemaking method is characterized by the addition of wine spirit to the must, causing an interruption in the fermentation. This process preserves all the natural sugars of the wine and allows the development of a liquorish texture.

View:
Reddish color with reddish reflections.

Very refined bouquet, immense complexity of notes of ripe red fruits and oak aromas.

Mouth:
This is a young Tawny Port of immense complexity. In the mouth it appears fruitful and generous, with a harmonious sweetness that joins its fresh and lively acidity. Its strong nutty flavors show its aging in oak, which are offset by a balanced sweetness and a long finish.
