Díaz Bayo 15 Months is a red wine made by the Díaz Bayo winery only with grapes from the country's Tinta variety. It has a barrel aging of 15 months in oak barrels. Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo.
To make Díaz Bayo 15 Months wine, 100% of the grapes are destemmed with fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel and concrete tanks. It is aged for 15 months in American and French oak barrels. The wine remains in the bottle rack for a minimum of 12 months. The vineyards are located at an average altitude between 890 and 940 meters above sea level. The vines were planted between 1965 and 2001. The soil is clay-calcareous and limestone.
TASTING
View:
Cherry color with a high layer and purple trim.
Nose:
Intense and complex. Ripe black fruits appear first, giving way to balsamic and spicy touches. Fruit and barrel are perfectly integrated. As it evolves, very subtle roasted nuances and light touches of cocoa and licorice appear.
Mouth:
Very pleasant, with good structure, powerful and meaty. Ripe black fruits appear with hints of cocoa and licorice. Subtle smoky and toasted touches. Mastery of fruits over the touches of aging. Very long and complex. Recommended temperature: 16°C.
