Valdelosfrailes Reserva 2016 75cl.
Valdelosfrailes Reserva comes from old goblet vineyards from the Cubillas and Corcos de Valle moors such as Sallana Pino, El Aguilón, Las Carretillas or El Jarro. With infertile soils of gravel and sand, shallow and very low productions. The prestigious critic John Radford stated about Valdelosfrailes Reserva “that it is a wine with enormous quality and personality capable of being considered one of the best in Spain.” Perfect to accompany braised red meats, legumes, offal, sweetbreads or tripe and also with chocolate desserts. A sublime wine to enjoy with a Castilian lamb. Prizes and scores:

Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo
Valdelosfrailes Reserva, one of the winery's great reds, is made only in the best vintages from specially selected grapes of the Tempranillo variety from the oldest vineyards in glass, harvested by hand. The grapes with which it is made require a triple selection of grapes (in the field, from cluster and grain by grain). In the winery they macerate cold before fermentation at a controlled temperature, providing great aromatic complexity. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in new barrels. Subsequently, the wine is aged for at least 14 months in new French and American oak barrels and then for at least two years in the bottle, resulting in a surprising, complex, elegant and balanced wine.
