This Garnacha, Viña Pomal Vinos Singulares Garnacha 2017, wants to demonstrate the aromatic potential of a variety that is the most planted in the world. We are looking for a Grenache from high areas, that has freshness and all its fruity power, with great volume. Let it be harmonious, without being excessive. Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Garnacha. Grenache is a delicate variety, which requires extremely careful treatment in the winery. Cold premaceration, with short fermentation and maceration (total 10 days vatting). Manual harvest in boxes, goes through manual selection. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeast, vatting the grapes with part of the stems in order to achieve greater freshness. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and subsequent aging in 500l French oak barrels for 10 months. Aging in bottle for a minimum of 1 year before marketing.
TASTING
View: Intense and very bright red color, with violet reflections.
Nose:
Varietal aromas appear: white pepper, sandalwood and cedar intermingled with aromas of ripe red fruit and floral aromas such as lavender.
Mouth:
With great volume and freshness, with velvety tannin. Friendly and silky palate with an enveloping and oily finish.
