Description
PREPARATION
Espolón Blanco is made from tradition and technology, through a totally natural process with a rest in Canadian white oak barrels for 9 months. Tequila Espolón is the result of the work of Cirilo Oropeza, master distiller, who managed to transform the science of distillation into art made tequila. In 1998, together with a member of the Plascencia family, he created the San Nicolás Destiladora in Jalisco, among the plantations of Los Altos (Highlands) with a modern and avant-garde facet, and with it its emblematic product: Espolón Tequila. The name Espolón pays tribute to Mexican culture, with the rooster, nicknamed Ramón, as a national symbol and the rooster spur as a detail that inspires the brand and represents Mexican everyday life as a work of art on each of its labels. The illustration evokes the engravings made in the 19th century by the artist José Guadalupe Posada, a pioneer in the art of his time, who painted a famous work called The Skull.
