Oremus Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos 2016 50cl.

Oremus Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos 2016 50cl.

Oremus Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos is an intense, exciting, vehement wine with a taste of history, which combines tradition, innovation and excellence. Oremus is a symbol and example of the reward of time, of experience and knowledge, of true know-how in the art of wine. The myth of Tokaj has only grown in its more than four hundred years of history; But it would not be until the year 1630 when the greatness of the Oremus vineyard was spoken of for the first time; Today it is the one with the greatest universal recognition. The Tokaj area is located in a mountain range that occupies the northeastern part of Hungary. Oremus Winery is located at its geographical center, in Tokaj-Hegyalja, a historic wine region, which is believed to have been a pioneer in producing wines with grapes affected by noble rot. This concept refers to a benevolent infection of grapes produced by a gray fungus called Botrytis cinerea, which is why these wines are made in exceptional vintages in vineyards listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Presentation: Bottle with wooden case.

Description

PREPARATION

Grapes: Furmint, Hárslevelü, Zéta and Sárgamuskotály.

The production of Aszú wine (tear wine) 6 Puttonyos is a meticulous process that is only possible in good vintages and very special conditions that favor the development of "Botrytis Cinérea" (noble rot). It is still based on measurements from hundreds of years ago, adding 6 baskets (puttonyos) of 25 kg to the base must. each of Aszú grapes harvested one by one and covered with Botrytis. The grapes are macerated for two days until they increase in size, and then they are lightly pressed. Fermentation takes place in new Hungarian oak barrels. It is a slow process that can last up to two months. The aging phase is completed for two or three years in 136 and 220 liter barrels, and ends with one more year in the bottle. Together with 2008, the 2013 vintage was the second great vintage of sweet wines of the millennium, extraordinary in quality and quantity. Production in 2013 was 23,500 50 cl bottles.
