Abadía Retuerta Selección Especial 2019 is the first wine from Abadía Retuerta. For this wine, the best wines of the vintage are selected and blended and it is made mainly with the native variety of the Duero Valley, Tempranillo, which is complemented with other varieties from the estate that are chosen by tasting. The purpose is to balance the particularities of the vintage and preserve the style that characterizes this wine, which represents the vintage, the terroir and the personality of Abadía Retuerta.

Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 64% Tempranillo, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Syrah, 6% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot.
To make the Abadía Retuerta Selección Especial 2019 wine, a manual harvest is first carried out. Afterwards, it undergoes fermentation in small stainless steel tanks where malolactic fermentation is also carried out. It is aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. Bottling took place in June 2020.
TASTING
View:
Purple red color with purple tones.
Nose:
Complex. Aromas of red fruits such as wild strawberry, plum and blackberry, with floral and spicy notes.
Mouth:
Tasty and with an elegant step. Fine, soft and enveloping tannins, which give rise to a very long and friendly palate. Storage temperature: should not exceed 15ºC
