Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Vollereaux Cuvée Marguerite Brut Vintage 2011 is an "aged Champagne" made in a single vintage - 2011. The grape varieties used are 75% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir and it is left to ferment in the bottle for no less than 7 years before launching this luxury Champagne. Maison Vollereaux has 40 hectares of vineyards in Coteaux Sud d’Epernay in the Marne Valley. At the time of harvest, all the technical means are used to safeguard the natural specificity of the terroirs and musts resulting from pressing, which is why they combine tradition and modernity through the use of two modern presses and one traditional press. The particularity of Vollereaux Champagnes is due to the richness of the terroir but also to the work of Franck Vollereaux who carries out a meticulous blending exercise every year.
TASTING
View: Intense yellow color with green reflections, adorned with fine bubbles that lightly feed a fine necklace of dazzling whiteness. These nuances suggest an elegant Champagne with great finesse.
Nose: Expressive, complex and powerful, lime aromas mix with fine floral notes (honeysuckle and acacia) and white fruit (pear juice, white peach). All together they express a subtle mineral framework that gives full expression of elegance to this Champagne.
Mouth: In the mouth, enhanced by the effervescence, it is fresh and smooth. The liveliness balances the spicy maturity of this 2011 vintage that is expressed through smoky and vanilla notes.
